Fall is finally here…well, the calendar says so…the weather, not so much. Although it’s not as hot, still not cool enough to wear the lovely and cozy Fall sweaters, scarves, boots, etc. that I love so much. Fall and Spring are my favorite seasons…the rich and vibrant colors, the crisp cool air, just feels so homey and cozy.
So I couldn’t help myself…picked up a few Fall-ish things recently, some were planned and some were impulsively spotted:
> Faux Leather Moto Jacket – I went into the store specifically to see the faux leather jacket in the camel color; I had been searching for a nice camel/tan leather jacket but had struck out everywhere. Then I saw this faux version on the F21 website, thought I’d give it a shot. They only had the black and burgundy version in the store and it was on a special price of $18 (online $25)…I tried it on in Small…perfect fit! The faux leather is a nice quality and I actually prefer the faux version especially on rainy days. I’m definitely ordering the camel version (as seen below) online even at the regular $25 price, so worth it!
> Skinny Khaki Pants – also went into F21 to look for these military green skinnies; it’s very similar to the J.Crew Skinny Utility Chino (see here). Love these! They run big so I went one size down. I love the pockets and the stretch in the leg lines…this will be in rotation a lot this Fall.
> Cream Collarless Jacket – another item I went in to see in person is this jacket…it’s quite lovely I must say. It has a subtle quilting (see close up pic below) that belies its reasonable price. Picked it up in Small and it fits like a dream. Sidenote: the day I wore it in the pic below, I got Siracha stains on it (see 3rd pic below..shows quilting detail)…but no worries, brought to the cleaners same day and they were able to save it (woohoo!).
Loft Ann Taylor:
This was an impulse buy…walking by Loft and saw the sale sign: $25 sweatshirts and tops – that’s like a beacon calling me home 😉 Saw some really nice embellished sweatshirts and tops but this one reeled me in. Love the burgundy/garnet (my birthstone) shade of the jewel embellishments. And with the heathered dark gray background, thought it was perfect for Fall and Winter. It was regularly $69.50, on sale for $25…such a deal. See how I would style it for Fall below.
Lastly, I’ve been taking advantage of Ulta’s 21 days of beauty sale…including the Butter London buy one get one free deal on their nail polishes. These are normally $15 each so this was a great sale…btw, they have it every year. Love these two shades (Yummy Mummy and Chimney Sweep) for Fall.
Well, that’s it for now…share some of your Fall finds in the comments below. Would love to hear about it!
