Although the weather is now quite nice where I live, after surviving the onslaught of rainstorms last week, Fall is officially here next week so I thought it’s a good time to share my Fall essentials or basics. The items you see above seem, a little too basic perhaps but it’s a great foundation for casual dressing. Where pops of color or texture can be interjected is in the accessories as you can see from the array of scarves, shoes and bags. Then there’s also the jewelry – which I will feature in another post of this Fall Essentials series. Essentially (pardon the pun), I try to have pieces that are timeless and easy to pair with other completer pieces like cardigans, blazers and coats. These essentials will take me from Fall, to Winter and early Spring without being stuck in trendy pieces. These items are a good representation of my closet (with other things mixed in like dresses, business attire like suits, dress pants, etc.) for the Fall season. It makes dressing in the morning so much simpler and fun.
I hope this gives you some ideas on how to build or complete your wardrobe for Fall. More to come in part 2. That’s it for now!
Nice. I absolutely love how every single piece could be coordinated with every other piece. Are those little ankle boots Born? They remind me a bit of the Toms, but the sole looks a little different. Love them either way!
@lovenyla Thanks for your comment. The ankle wedge boots are actually from J.Crew Factory Outlet – it’s a cheaper version of their original J.Crew McAllister boots. Purchased it last Winter when they had an online sale…I just love it. It’s so comfy and easy to wear. Thanks again!
@lovenyla BTW…Target has a similar version of the ankle boots – they had it last year too, I was going to buy the Target version but they didn’t have my size. It’s worth the price..very cute! http://www.target.com/p/women-s-merona-kadence-wedge-ankle-boot-chestnut/-/A-14463522#prodSlot=large_3_14
Great! Thanks!
