Happy Monday everyone! Over the weekend, I did a seasonal switch of my shoes – stored my boots (snow boots, knee highs, booties, etc.) and retrieved a few of my summer sandals from our basement. This is the time of the year when my work uniform consists of summer dresses or bootcut jeans with summer wedges. And of course, wearing dark wash jeans with light colored leather or suede shoes can be risky. Nowadays, the dark washed jeans can stain leather shoes and purses so easily – no matter how many washes they’ve been through. I had an episode with a beloved limited edition Coach bag that was stained by dark washed jeans – let’s just say there were tears and lots of screaming involved. I’ve learned my lesson since then. Part of my ritual now is to spray leather or suede shoes (and purses) with a protector like the Kiwi Select All Protector. I got mine for $6.25 a can at Nordstrom Rack.
The shoes shown in the image above are three of my absolute favorite wedges – they get a lot of wear during the summer so I would really hate for any of them to get any denim stains. I swear by this product – it truly protects the leather. Be sure to follow the instructions on the can (very simple) before wearing your favorite leather/suede shoes. Works for my suede or leather boots as well during the winter months. What about you? Let me know of any other similar products you’ve tried and would recommend.
