I remember the very first Sam & Libby flats I bought back in the late 80’s…it was a capped toe ballet leather with a combination of khaki and dark yellow capped toe box very identical to this one from Old Navy. I loved it..which is probably why I gravitated towards and purchased the Old Navy version almost two decades later. Never fails…styles come back time and time again. And although I no longer have the Sam & Libby flats (not sure what happened to them actually), I can relive the style in the new version. And speaking of new version, check out the new Sam & Libby line now available at Target online and in stores. I had a chance to try some of the styles and quite liked the two shown below. The prices range from $23 to $35…very reasonable.
I especially liked the Adley tuxedo flat in a tribal/ikat-ish print ($28)…it’s quite comfy..also comes in an animal print. The Bree cap toe flats are oh so cute but pinches a bit where it has ruching in the back. I supposed it may take some breaking in but not sure if it’ll get there because of the synthetic material. I might pick it up in the mint if I do get it. So…if you’re at your local Target picking up groceries, check out the new line – they have a few sandals too, perfect for summer.
