Ran out with my girls today to grab a quick bite and brave the weekend crowds at Wal-Mart. I typically don’t like shopping at Wal-Mart; I prefer Target for its cleaner aisles and better lighting and of course, better selection of fashion items. But today, it was strictly groceries and Halloween stuff (candy and pumpkins) and inarguably, my grocery total would be much cheaper at Wal-Mart than Target. Our routine with groceries is my hubby writes up the list on his iPhone, has me look at it to add or edit, then he texts the complete list to me. Our household arrangement is he cooks, I clean so he makes the grocery list with some input from me. He went to a school of culinary arts and he’s great at it…my expanding waistline can attest to that. If there is a significant amount of produce on the list, then I have to make two stops…first at Wal-Mart or Target, then at Sprouts for the produce. Wished we had Trader Joe’s here but then again, I don’t need to add another stop to my route. Today, we only needed a couple of veggies so I only needed to go to Wal-Mart…we don’t like buying produce there normally…they always seem to spoil so much faster and the selection of organic produce at Sprouts is huge and inexpensive.
My outfit is a basic run-around weekend ensemble (if you can call it that..lol). My blush pink tee is from Ann Taylor Loft (similar here in other colors). This tee is just a simple V-neck but it’s such a workhorse like all my other long-sleeve tees. During the colder months, I wear them to death under sweaters, cardigans or blazers. I don’t normally wear sweats out (it’s a slippery slope, you know?) but I felt kind of “out of it” today. I woke up so early and did a lot around the house before everyone got up so I felt a little lethargic by lunch time. After getting home from Wal-Mart though, I regained my motivation so me and the girls made some friendship bracelets with beads (photo below is of my Lulu’s) we just received from eBay. And now…onto other chores. Hope your weekend is going well so far and you’re accomplishing your “to do” list. Enjoy your Sunday!
