As you may have seen from this post, I have a lot of purses or bags….it’s a bit of a problem. I love them so! But I need to get more wear out of most if not all of them. I tend to use the same 3 or 4 over and over again and neglect the others as they sit in dust bags in my closet, seldom seeing the light of day. So I decided, for the next few weeks, I will pick one bag per week around which to build my outfits. I figured Spring is the best time to do this and it’ll be a new way for me to approach my morning dressing routine and allow me to also reach for items in my closet that I may not normally if I were to use a standard black or camel purse.
So for this week, as temps consistently reach higher than 50 deg here in the rocky mountain state, it’s time to pull out my Kate Spade Stevie in coral. This purse is magnificent in all its bright corally glory. The leather is supple, the drop perfectly allows a tucked-in secure hold under my arms and the compartments divine with its organizational allowances. I adore this purse and I got it at a bargain for $150 at Nordstrom Rack about two years ago. The lining has coral polka dots against a white background…making it easy to find its contents.
You’d think it would be hard to find outfits to pair with this purse but it’s versatility gives me the latitude to be more creative without looking like a crayon box exploded on me. So here’s today’s out fit as the Stevie debuts this week.
PS: There have been many incarnations of the Stevie over the years. The image in the Polyvore pic above is not exactly the same Stevie I have (as you can see in the IRL pics below) but it’s the same exact color.
