Happy Sunday! Just a quick post on the different types of commonly used sleeves in shirts and tops. What prompted this post? One of my guilty pleasures is watching YouTube videos of shopping hauls. They’re oddly addictive and some have led me to some unfortunate purchases and eventual returns. One thing though that always irked me about them is when the YouTubers describe what they’ve purchased, they always fumble about when it comes to describing the sleeves…granted, the people doing the hauls are mostly young women (late teens to mid-20’s) but if you’re going to host a YouTube channel, I think you should at least do your part to know the correct fashion terms. Sorry but I seem to have dusted off my soap box this morning.
Anyway – I hope this helps somewhat. For me..I prefer any sleeve that won’t emphasize my wide shoulders (although my husband insists I’m crazy and that I don’t have running back shoulders…bless his heart) so I stay away from capped sleeves. I also try to stay away from boatnecks but they’re so darn adorable, I’m not always successful. What about you? Which sleeve do you prefer? Enjoy your week!
