Before the Holidays, I got a haircut that took my long hair from lower back length to just above the shoulders. I had been agonizing about what to do with my hair for months…I hadn’t gone to my hair lady for about a year so my hair was in dire need of attention. All I had been doing was putting it up in a ponytail or a bun and when time or energy permitted, I occasionally curled it to give it some semblance of a hairstyle. It took forever to wash and dry it; I have really thick hair – my hairdresser loves how there’s so much of it…me? not so much. It’s just a lot of work to maintain. So it was time….time to chop it off but up until a couple of weeks before my appointment, I was still grappling with the decision. So what did I do? I put it out to a vote…on Facebook. I posted a picture of my long hair (the one you see below) and asked my friends and family to help me decide. The vote was unanimous…chop it off. Then a friend from high school suggested I donate it to Locks of Love….brilliant! And that’s exactly what I did. Overall, I’m happy with the results; it now has a style and I can still put it up in a ponytail if I want to and so much easier too. So thanks to my FB friends for your input and suggestion. Now my Boo is growing out her hair too so she can donate it when she gets her next haircut. For more info on Locks of Love, visit: http://locksoflove.org/
