So with family in town from Los Angeles, we took a day trip to Boulder on Tuesday this week – specifically Pearl Street Mall. I love outdoor malls especially when the weather is as fabulous as it was yesterday – it was downright warm in the middle of November (only in Colorado). Pearl Street Mall in downtown Boulder is about 5-6 city blocks long with street performers here and there, cart vendors, a slew of one-of-a-kind boutiques and various eateries (we had lunch at Salt – highly recommend! Loved the fettucine bolognese special and the roasted brussel sprouts with parmesan – so yummy!) Boulder is a fun town, especially if you’re a fan of eco-friendly and artsy cities. Check out this mint-green painted fire hydrant…awesome!
One particular store that we always have to visit is Peppercorn. Their website describes the store as a retail potpourri with an exciting array of kitchen, bath and home accessories from designers all over the world. Lovely as the website description is, it does not do it justice. This store is a feast for the eyes – it’s jampacked with beautiful and delicious things. I have to control myself or I will go overboard; I also have to be pulled out of the store or I will spend all day in there, literally. There’s just so much to see and admire. Some of the things that caught my eye are the whimsical vignettes of ceramic ware from all over the world. I picked up a lovely celadon green plate that I plan on using as a dish soap in our main floor powder room. I also love the owl motif of different wares….soooo cute! The photos I took below don’t do them justice so please take a closer look by visiting their website where most of their wares can be purchased online. And of course, if you’re ever in Colorado, be sure to plan a day in Boulder to see for yourself how fun this town is and a pitstop at Peppercorn is a must!
Picked this up as a soap dish for our powder room; so hard to choose from the array you see below
These owls are so adorable….perfect gift for an owl motif lover
