I went into Macy’s a couple of weeks ago and found some new store brands in their Impulse section, which is similar to the Savvy department at Nordstroms…contemporary clothes for the modern woman. One brand I especially liked was Maison Jules, touted as having a French/Parisian vibe – it was debuted by Macy’s in early September during New York Fashion week (read more here). I love the ease and flair of the Maison Jules line, a combination that can be hard to pull off. One particular item that caught my eye was this loose fitting shirt with the fun C’est La Vie print. The mix of material is nothing new but it is very soft and cozy, perfect for the coming cooler weather. You can see how I styled it in a casual way in the pics below…very simple but chic as well. See the full line at Macy’s here.
I also enjoyed the way the line was displayed at the store…they had a red bicycle with the display which apparently is a limited edition released to celebrate the new line, in collaboration with the Martone Cycling Company (read more here)…Parisian indeed. Anyway, if you happen to visit Macy’s soon, check this line out…you may find yourself saying “oooh la la”.
