Happy Friday! I wore the outfit above on Wednesday this week but as I was about to leave for work, I started to feel icky so I ended up staying home, making this post a couple of days late. As much as I like to post my OOTD’s from my Polyvore page, I feel compelled to elaborate on this one, simply because I am obsessed with the outfit in the J.Crew Style Guide (and found in Pinterest) you see above. I know it’s not some earth shattering, fashion world rocking outfit – on the contrary, it’s actually pretty classic and simple. But that’s what I love about it(shocker!) — the simplicity of the silhouette and the lovely combo of beige and powder blue + the pop of animal print in the shoes…genius! I have been kicking myself for not picking up the Andie chino in this color (ice cap I believe it’s called) when it was available…I love the Andie fit and in this color…obsessed. I picked it up in khaki and light pink but passed up this color…argh! Been scouring eBay but no luck yet. Maybe JC will bring it back next year (fingers crossed).
Anyway, as an inspiration, I wore the same color combo (almost) in opposite pieces; the Andie in khaki and powder blue tee instead. It satiated my longing for the Andie ice cap color for now anyway (I know…I have a bit of crazy in me). I was going to wear my Jack Purcells in the leopard print but decided on the TB Carolines instead which didn’t matter as I had to stay home that day 😦
