Hi there…I hope your week is off to a good start. We’re in the 60’s and sunny this week so I was able to dress lightly today. Took my girls for their annual doctor’s visit; the oldest got shots – the pediatrician said it’s her last one for a while until she goes off to college. As she said those words, my mind started to wander off….I know she’s a long way from college but I wished there was a shot to make them remember all the things we taught them while attending college. Like some sort of memory bank that they access when critical decisions are in front of them….where the right answer comes up like Zoltar’s fortune cards (ding ding ding!). Only, as opposed to the movie “Big”, the answer in the fortune that spits out is precise and Zoltar is not a cheesy carnie game but a wise Yoda-like creature. I’m going off topic here. I supposed we just have to trust that we did our jobs and that society/peer pressure won’t win over logic…one can hope.
Thank goodness they’re both doing well! Shots are stressful sometimes, especially for my little one. It’s weird because when she was a baby, she hardly cried at all. Even when she got her shots, she just sat there smiling. When she was about a year old, she fell and hit her head on a step in our hallway, she got right back up and kept playing…not a whimper. Nowadays, we have a different story – she cries immediately upon hearing she might have to get shots. She gets super emotional at the simplest things…learned behavior is amazing. She is sooooo much like me…scary!
On my OOTD…I wore some basic stuff – knit blazer from Nordstrom’s (the Polyvore photo is a similar one as the color I have is sold out but you can view it here in other colors), a basic tee from Target, my fave Ann Taylor Loft skinnies and my Old Navy paisley flats (see all shopping links at the bottom of this post by gliding over each pic). Wow..only two more days until my Pink Challenge is over. It’s actually getting harder to put together outfits that are interjected with pink but I’m almost there. Have a great week!
